Baltasana mount

Discover the highest peak of the Baix Camp region

The mountainous knot of the summits of Prades occupies almost the entire area of the county of Prades. In the north east alignment, the mountain range ends with the 1,201m mountain of Baltasana, flanked on the east by the Mountain of Estat and in the north by the Mount of Sales. The hill is between La Conca de Barberà and The Baix Camp, between Prades Vimbodí and Poblet, about 2km as the crow flies from the Poblet. This hill is Geodisic (No. 261129001) and its the highest point of these mountains. You can get to it on the long distance footpath GR-171, which passes nearby. It is part of the ridge that separates the Ebro basin (River Montsant) from the Francolí basin. It is also the highest peak in the region of the Baix Camp and La Conca de Barbera.
