Hazelnut is the most notable nut production in Catalonia for reputation and quality. The environs of Reus produce 90% of all national hazel production. It consists of different varieties: bold pauetet, Gironella, Morella and culplana. Of these varieties, the bold is the most cultivated.

The prestige of extra virgin olive oil from Arbequina olives of the PCO Siurana is a result of its exceptional organoleptic quality and careful production in the Camp de Tarragona.

Production is carried out with on a 90% arbequina olive oil and 10% of Morruda Rojales oil.

According to the time of harvesting olives, one can distinguish two types of oils:

If it is fruity, it comes from an early harvest; if it is green, it tastes full-bodied and slightly bitter.

If sweet, it is from a later harvest, yellow and more liquid.

All production from the municipalities of Baix Camp belong to the PCO. Major producing municipalities in the Mountains of the Costa Daurada are:Almoster, Riudecanyes, Maspujols, Vilaplana, L’Aleixar, Alforja, Les Borges del Camp, Riudecols, Duesaigües, Vilanova d’Escornalbou...

They come from a traditional cultivation. They have a superior quality because they are grown at an altitude of over 1,000m and due to the soil and climatic conditions in the mountains of El Baix Camp.

They are produced in Prades, Capafonts, La Febró y Arbolí and the variety is called Kennebec.
The conditions of altitude, soil and climate of this area, along with the tradition of crops and experience of the farmers, give differential characteristics and superior quality to the potatoes of Prades.

The mountains of El Baix Camp from the area of the mountains of Prades to the area of the Llaberia mountains, L'Argentera, Colldejou, produce a large quantity and variety of mushrooms which, through their quality and diversity, enrich the traditional cuisine of our region during the autumn and early winter.

The chestnut trees are still relatively important in the Baix Camp. The chestnut trees are semi-natural deciduous forests in the domain of mountainous oak and oak forests in the dry mountains of Prades.

The exceptional variety of flowers in the mountains of Prades makes honey of very good quality and great delicacy. A long tradition and a high quality product has created an cottage industry for the bee-keepers of Prades.

Honey can be liquid or crystallised, and keeps well. Honeys differ in colour, aroma and taste according to the flowers the bees have fed from.

La Mare de Deu de l'Abellera in 2003 was made the patron saint of beekeepers.
