Walk through the agricultural area of Maspujols, L’Aleixar and Les Borges del Camp; villages where the fields coexist with the scattered urban development of the region and with forest fires. The return via Les Borges del Camp, where the path crosses an area affected by a fire that burned more than 100 ha across the municipalities of Maspujols, L’Aleixar and Alforja, brings to mind the impact of fires on former cultivated land that has been recolonised by woodland.
Leave Borges del Camp heading for Roques Brunes. Half way, you can take a detour to visit the village of Maspujols. You reach L’Aleixar among fields of hazel trees and, without crossing the road, take the path on the left leading to the 17th-century chapel of Sant Antoni. Continue up the path until, after a sharp bend to cross the Rocabruna ravine, you take a path to the right leading you to the Les Valls track. Walk along on the level with good views over El Camp on a path equipped with landscape interpretation boards and go down to the Alforja torrent, which you follow all the way back to Les Borges del Camp.
