We offer you the chance to discover this very characteristic landscape, leading you through cultivated fields to Puigcerver chapel, an excellent viewpoint surrounded by imposing holm oak woods. The visit to Riudecols, Puigcerver and Alforja can be extended with a walk to Botarell to make it a busy day when a few hazelnuts might do you good!
Leave Riudecols heading for the Puigcerver chapel, climbing more than 400 metres, an effort rewarded by the views. Carry on along the local path (PR) towards Alforja, passing the Formatge cross and the small chapel which indicates the point where you start to see Puigcerver on the way from Alforja. Go through the village and leave heading south, taking the old path to Riudecols and climbing up to the well-known Els Banys pass. Go down to cross Les Voltes torrent, reaching Riudecols from the north.
If you’re left wanting more, you still have the option to turn towards the village of Botarell, going over the Mas d’en Cases pass and returning on the old, more level path to Riudecols.
